On March 29, a training session on "Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Violence" took place. The goal of the training was to equip mobile teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services to individuals affected by violence. Special thanks to Anna Dub for leading the training.

Doctors and nurses gained not only knowledge about providing first aid to victims of violence but also an understanding of violence as a public health issue. They learned communication skills for interacting with victims and techniques to identify signs of violence through conversation and behavior. We also included hotlines and useful links in a brochure developed for patients.

This training is extremely important, especially for medical professionals working in frontline and liberated areas. We thank our partners CARE.Ukraine, Luxembourg Aid Development, and Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung for enabling the implementation of this humanitarian project in the Kramatorsk community.

On March 30, Oksana Lobortas conducted a training session on the WHO PEN Tool for managing patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes at the primary healthcare level. Participants had the opportunity to refresh their knowledge, clarify the specifics of treating patients with multiple diagnoses, and learn about modern medical practices. Oksana shared her experience working in mobile teams and provided valuable guidance.

Today, our trained teams are already making their first outreach visits. Stay tuned for updates on the work of the medical teams on our page.
