We conducted the first part of the training as part of the project "Ensuring Access to Life-Saving Medical Care in Eastern Ukraine," which was recently launched with the participation of Health Solutions, together with CARE Ukraine, and with financial support from Luxembourg Aid Development and Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung.
Medical staff from the Primary Health Care Center No. 1 in Kramatorsk received training on working in mobile clinics and ambulances, as well as completing tactical medicine courses, including:
- "Basic Life Support + Bleeding Control (BLS+BC)": Fundamentals of life support and bleeding control
- "TUSC-UA Training": Tactical ultrasound diagnostics course aimed at enhancing the skills of family doctors
- Otoscopy Training: Diagnosis of ear diseases
The knowledge and skills gained during the training will allow our medical staff to effectively assist both victims of Russian aggression and chronic patients or those in need of palliative care.
Such trainings enhance professional qualifications and are necessary on an ongoing basis to improve skills and apply new diagnostic approaches. It was very rewarding to see the enthusiasm in the participants' eyes as they eagerly absorbed this knowledge, knowing that their help is awaited by people living in remote areas of the Kramatorsk community, says Viktoriya Tymoshevska, co-founder of the Health Solutions Charity Fund.
The training was conducted by experienced trainers from Mehad UA and the Academy of Family Medicine of Ukraine.
This post was prepared as part of the project "Ensuring Access to Life-Saving Medical Care in Eastern Ukraine," implemented with the support of CARE Ukraine.
