This was the aim of the "Health Solutions" advocacy trip to Germany. We organized a series of discussions with experts and policymakers, promoting not only national priorities but also aligning with the focus of international donors on investing in the preservation and development of people in Ukraine.

Joining the co-founders of "Health Solutions," Viktoriia Tymoshevska and Tetiana Havrysh, in Berlin were Zurab Alasania, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the foundation; Svitlana Khilyuk, Member of the Supervisory Board and Dean of the UCU School of Law; and Viktoriia Kovach, Head of the Medical Service of the Third Army Corps.

A new German government and Bundestag committee composition has just been formed. Policy towards Ukraine is also in a formative stage. This gives Ukraine an opportunity to voice its needs and advocate for support in vital structures and processes.
Explains Viktoriia Tymoshevska, Executive Director of "Health Solutions."

One of the key events took place in Berlin at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), where Ukrainian issues were discussed with Bundestag members Robin Wagener and Dr. Kirsten Kappert-Gonther.

Topics included demographic changes and internal displacement within Ukraine, and how these shifts impact the decentralization of the health care system. The conversation also focused on how Ukraine can continue to support reforms, deliver essential services, and strive for EU integration, even while part of the country remains under occupation.

Our team is returning to Ukraine — but the advocacy for a comprehensive approach to supporting the country continues.
