Mini-Grants Competition for Healthy Communities Has Concluded

We received many interesting ideas and initiatives from various corners of the country. Detailed information about the projects that received mini-grants can be found below in this post.

"Time to Choose Health"

Project Goal: Early diagnosis of diseases for the population at increased risk, including hypertension, diabetes, stress management, and cancer screenings.

The project will be implemented by the Communal Non-Commercial Enterprise "Buchansk Primary Health Care Center" of the Buchansk City Council.

"Assessment of Type 2 Diabetes Compensation"

Project Goal: To assess the level of compensation for type 2 diabetes among Buchansk community residents and carry out measures to prevent complications of diabetes.

The project will be implemented by the KNP "Buchansk Consultative Diagnostic Center" of the Buchansk City Council.

"Our Health"

Project Goal: To improve the quality of life and longevity of the population through access to primary diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes, increasing awareness, and drawing attention to risk factors.

The project will be implemented by the Public Organization "Conscious Buchansk Community."

"Accessible Health"

Project Goal: To provide Bucha residents with the opportunity to exercise outdoors using a set of strength training equipment.

The project will be implemented by Bucha Secondary School I-III Grades No. 1.

Skvyra Community: Submitted 9 applications, 6 qualified for evaluation, 4 selected:

"Mobile Health Check-up"

Project Goal: To organize mobile health fairs in rural settlements of the OTG (United Territorial Community).

The project will be implemented by KNP SMR "Skvyra Municipal Center of Primary Health Care."

"Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Victims"

Project Goal: To train high school students to provide first aid in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The project will be implemented by the Skvyra Center for Children's and Youth Creativity of the Skvyra City Council, Kyiv Region.

"Community Health Library"

Project Goal: To organize a health support corner in the central city library, provide health measurement services, and promote literature on health topics.

The project will be implemented by the Skvyra Centralized Library System.

"Veteran Space"

Project Goal: To create conditions for the psychosocial adaptation and reintegration of veterans into active community life.

The project will be implemented by the Communal Institution of the Skvyra City Council "Center for Social Services."

"Sports Playground Setup"

Project Goal: Enhance physical activity and health for elderly people and those with disabilities.Implementing Organization: Pervomaisk City Charitable Foundation "Dzhereilo."

"Nordic Drive"

Project Goal: Inspire and support older adults, individuals aged 45+, and those with disabilities in their pursuit of health and physical activity.Implementing Organization: Motion+ NGO.

"Cardiovascular Disease Prevention School and Ambassadors of Public Health"

Project Goal: Teach methods for preventing cardiovascular diseases, master self-monitoring techniques, and study the impact of risk factors on these diseases.Implementing Organization: Pervomaisk Charitable Foundation "Mercy."

"Rehabilitation - Returning to Full Life"

Project Goal: Improve the quality of rehabilitation services for adults and children, and inform the public about rehabilitation opportunities at the facility.Implementing Organization: Pervomaisk Central District Hospital.

"Healthy Walk in the Park"

Project Goal: Promote a sporty lifestyle and encourage residents to participate in fitness walks in the city park "Family Park."Implementing Organization: Kramatorsk Hockey Club NGO.

"Health Prevention for Social Service Recipients"

Project Goal: Detect and prevent complications from non-communicable diseases among social service recipients.Implementing Organization: Territorial Center for Social Services of the Kramatorsk City Council.

"Grow, Play, and Stay Healthy!"

Project Goal: General physical training for children and prevention of chronic diseases.Implementing Organization: Municipal Institution "Avangard Sports Complex."

"Detection and Training of People with Cardiovascular Risk and Diabetes Risk"

Project Goal: Identify individuals at risk for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, and teach them self-monitoring methods and lifestyle modifications.Implementing Organization: Primary Health Care Center No. 1 of Kramatorsk City Council.

By April 1, the Charitable Foundation "Healthy Solutions for an Open Society" will sign agreements with the winners, and from April 1, communities will begin working on project implementation.
