Women’s Voice and Leadership in Ukraine

The project is being implemented:

Project Description:

Its primary goal is to enhance women’s participation in societal processes, foster feminist perspectives, and combat discrimination. The project aims to create platforms for collaboration among women’s organizations, activists, and initiative groups working in the field of gender equality.

Project Goal

To establish fruitful cooperation among organizations, initiative groups, and activists working to combat discrimination against women, promote gender equality, and foster feminist views.

Project tasks:

  • Supporting women’s/feminist organizations, particularly those representing vulnerable women and girls facing multiple discrimination, to improve governance and sustainability.
  • Strengthening women’s organizations in planning and engaging supporters to promote gender equality in Ukraine.
  • Enhancing the effectiveness of national and regional women’s/feminist platforms, networks, and coalitions in influencing gender-sensitive reforms and implementing gender-sensitive policies in Ukraine.

Key Activities of the Project

"Women’s Health Academy":

  • Creating a space for open discussion of needs and receiving support and inspiration for life changes.
  • Providing knowledge about stress and its effects on the body, developing personal stress management systems, learning five recovery skills, and discovering new strengths.

Coalition Building Training:

  • Serving as a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas, emphasizing the importance of productive networking. Women’s movement activists from various regions of Ukraine work on coalition-building algorithms, identifying stakeholders, and assessing risks.

Meetings for Communications Specialists of Women’s Organizations:

  • Sharing experiences on creating humanitarian and long-term projects, engaging with authorities and businesses, effectively communicating with audiences, protecting women’s rights in the digital sphere, and coordinating women’s organizations.

These activities took place in cities such as Rivne, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Lviv, and Ternopil.

The Charity Fund "Health Solutions" aims to rethink the concept of health, making it accessible to all, regardless of their vulnerability status. We believe that a healthy and open democratic society is one where every woman's voice is heard. Our mission is to ensure equality, safety, and dignity for Ukrainian women through educational activities, training sessions, and webinars that enhance women’s capacity and awareness in various fields.

Project Impact

Over four years of project implementation, participants gained new knowledge and skills, strengthened their connections, and created a foundation for further cooperation. This enabled them to become more actively involved in socio-political processes in Ukraine.

The project significantly influenced human rights adherence and ensured non-discrimination and gender equality. It not only connected women from various fields of activity and influence but also strengthened their ties, provided opportunities for mutual learning, and highlighted the importance of their contributions to the process of achieving a victorious peace and recovery. Participation in project activities opened avenues for further collaboration and mutual assistance, creating a basis for ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s roles in society. Events fostered a trusting atmosphere that encouraged open expressions among participants and helped align a shared vision in an inclusive manner.
